- The Giants were picked before the season started to come in dead last in the NL West. On paper they are considered to be one of the worst teams in baseball. The won because of great pitching.

- Lincecum, like Zack Greinke, pitches very well for a relatively bad team. (Because of him, the Giants overachieved.) Anyone can win on a good team. Lincecum deserved to win.

- Releasing a full list would be sort of crazy. There are security reasons not to do so. Further, guests would have to be comfortable with having their names released or they may not visit, even though it would be a good idea for them to do so.

- I've been on an Amtrak train where the parent kept disciplining their toddler. I kept thinking to myself, One more time and I'm going to floor that parent. The disciplinging made things worse. Actually, the kid was bothering the parent more so than the rest of us.

- The truth is this, any of us could be right and any of us could be wrong. We don't know what the kid was really doing, how loud it really was, and whether passengers were complaining. I really felt that Newsvine should have offerred "Don't know" as a choice like usual.
